Phillip Amos aged 59, died at his home on North Brownell Street, Saturday afternoon, after an illness of dread pneumonia. The deceased was a painter and had formed a wide acquaintance in this vicinity. His wife Margaret, daughter Mrs. Kate Reed of Springfield, sons Leonard and Edward Amos of Chillicothe, two brothers Leonard Amos of Chillicothe and William Amos of Cleveland, a sister Mrs. Kate Seiller of Columbus, many grandchildren and friends survive him.
He was born in Chillicothe to Philip and Eva (Bangeston) Amos in 1846. The funeral was held this afternoon from the residence at two o'clock. Internment at Greenlawn.
