He was born on Sept. 16, 1929, in Carroll County, O. He was the son of the late Dwight and Rebecca (Carnahan) Cassidy.
Glenn was a foreman at the former Surety Rubber Co. of Carrollton and the former LRC Rubber Co. of Carrollton. He also worked at the Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home in Carrollton for several years. He was a life resident of Carroll County. He was a member of the Sandy Valley Baptist Church of Magnolia, O. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was married to Thelma Greer, who survives, along with two sons, Donald (Brenda) Cassidy of North Canton, O., and Gregory Cassidy of Carrollton; two stepchildren, Julie (John) Grodhaus and Larry (Mary Ann) Dugger; one brother, Eugene (Loretta) Cassidy of Carrollton; three sisters, Beulah Lambert of Carrollton, Jessie (John) Swan of Poland, Viola Faye (O.V.) Walley of Rose Hill, Miss.; three grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Cassidy.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 1 p.m. in the Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home in Carrollton with Pastor Johnnie Crawford officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery where full military honors will be provided by the VFW, American Legion and the DAV. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
