Mr. Lynch was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Lynch and his parents, Sen. John A. Lynch and his wife Evelyn. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 41 years, Colleen Lynch of North Brunswick and their children; Gerald Lynch and his wife Clare of London, England, Sean Lynch and his wife Mary of Somerset and Katie Lynch of North Brunswick. He is also survived by his siblings; John Lynch and his wife Deborah of Princeton, Bill Lynch of Spring Lake, and Marylynn Matacera and her husband Paul of North Brunswick and one granddaughter, Casey Evelyn Lynch.
Funeral services will begin on Tuesday at 8:30 AM at the Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset followed by a 9 AM funeral mass at St. Matthias Church in Somerset. Subsequent interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway. Friends and family may visit from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Monday at the Gleason Funeral Home.
