Mrs. Nina J. Files, 85, died peacefully at 12:41 a.m., Dec. 21, 2005. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 24, at Waco Memorial Park. Jim Gray, Associate Pastor at Woodway Baptist, will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday evening at BrookView Funeral Home.

Nina was born in Osage, Texas, the oldest of six children. She was married to C.A. Files for 52 years. She will be remembered for her strength, dedication to her family and her love for her friends. She was a person who stood ready and able to help those who needed support. Her latter years were made especially blessed by her dear friends at Ridgecrest Retirement Center. She was a lifetime member of the PTA because of her love and service of children.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Billy Files; three sisters; and a brother.

She is survived by daughter, Patricia Scott and husband, Steve, of Waco; son, Jack Files and wife, Renate, of Eddy; daughter-in-law, Nita Files, of Grandbury; grandsons, Devin Files, of Waco, Jon Files and wife, Sharon, of Hickory, N.C., and Patrick Scott, of Waco; granddaughters, Carla Hulsey and husband, Terry, of Springfield, Neb. and Tracey Jouett and husband, James, of Carrollton, Tex.; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Corrine Fields, of Waco; and many more family members and friends.
