Mrs. Russell Ramsey
Mrs. Rhea I. Ramsey, 67, of 414 19th st NE, wife of Russell R. Ramsey Sr. and mother of Russell R. Ramsey Jr., principal at Bowers Elementary School, died Monday evening in Doctors Hospital after an illness of several months.

Mrs. Ramsey's husband is the foreman of the composing room of The Evening Independent. She was born in Massillon and spent her entire life here. She retired a few years ago after 25 years' employment at the former Massillon Rubber Co. She attended the First United Methodist Church here.

In addition to her husband and son, Mrs. Ramsey is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Clinton (Edna) Koontz of Canton, Mrs. John (Margaret) Graetz of Oconomowac, Wisc., Mrs. Ray (Helen) Baker of Massillon, Mrs. Walter (Ruth) Kiefer of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Mrs. Charles (Norma) Potts of Wauwatesa, Wisc.; three brothers, Clarence and Milton Piper, both of Pittsburgh, Pa., and William Piper of Oconomowac, Wisc.; and two grandsons. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Gordon-Shaidnagle-Hollinger Funeral Home with the Rev. Lester Flauhaus, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church in Perry Township officiating. Interment will be made in Massillon Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 7 to 9.
