Marjorie Ellen (Taylor) Morris. Marjorie Ellen (Taylor) Morris, 94, Logansport, passed away at 1:05 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2013, in her residence at the McKinney House.. Born Dec. 1, 1918, in White County, she was the daughter of the late John Richard and Grace Isabelle Yocum Taylor. On May 22, 1938, in Logansport, she married Lee Isaac Morris who preceded in death on Aug. 25, 2005.. Marjorie was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church. She formerly belonged to Third Street United Methodist Church, where she was an active member for over 50 years. She volunteered with the annual vacation Bible school, women's circles and adult Sunday school classes.. Marjorie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a great cook, loved playing Bingo at the McKinney House. She and her husband Lee wintered in Zephyrhills, Fla., for over 25 years and enjoyed all of the club house activities and dinners.. She is survived by her two daughters, Connie (Dick) Graf; Nancy (John) Beachler, both of Logansport; granddaughter, Beth (Nathan) Beachler-Brown, Marine City, Mich.; three grandsons, Mark (Beverly) Graf, Logansport, Kevin (Stephanie) Graf, Monroe, Ohio, and David (Elizabeth) Beachler, Oswego, Ill.; eight great-grandchildren, Tyler, Kristen and Cameron Graf, Wyatt, Garrett, and Ella Brown; Collin and Cate Beachler; one sister, Deloris Jean (Rev. John) Pattison, Warren; brother-in-law, George (Shirley) Sims, Valpariso; and several nieces and nephews.. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Virgil Taylor; and one sister, Francelia Taylor Davis.. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, Logansport, with Pastor Larry Zehring, Rev. Scott Pattison, and Chaplain Larry Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Gundrum Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church..
