Charles L. "Charlie" Mummert, of Gettysburg, entered into Heavenly rest December 27 in Hanover.

He was the son of the late Raymond and Ethel Trostle Mummert.

He was currently employed by Quebecor World in Fairfield for 29 years and prior to that with Doubleday and Company, currently Bookspan in Hanover for 10 years.

Mr. Mummert was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Hanover; the Loyal Order of the Moose, Gettysburg; the Home Association, McSherrystown; the Buchanan Valley Rod and Gun Club; the North American Hunting Club; and the Yellow Breeches Anglers and Conservation Association.

He is survived by his wife, Nola M. Heverly Mummert, they celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on June 9, 2005, and also surviving are one son, Matthew R. Mummert of Pfafftown, NC; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two sisters: Fran Miller of New Oxford and Linda Bream of Hanover; and two brothers, Kenneth D. Mummert of Gettysburg, Gary M. Mummert of Hanover.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Titus Mummert and Leonard Mummert.
