Graveside services for Arthur A. Cressler, a longtime Ucolo Route resident will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 14 at the Dove Creek Cemetery. Pastor Mike Farren will be officiating.
Art was born May 9, 1923 in Hoxie, Kans. the son of Oris and Etta (Metheny) Cressler. He passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at the age of 82.
Art spent his career as a Uranium Miner. During his spare time, he enjoyed dancing as well as tall tales.
Surviving Art are his two sons, Roy Dean Cressler and wife, Imogene of Dove Creek, and Dan R. Cressler and wife, LeAnn of Egnar. He leaves several grandchildren, Jill Kennedy, Dakota Cressler, Trinity Cressler, Allee, Cody, Brooklyn, and Wyatt Kennedy, Walker, and Chorbin Cressler; and his siblings, Harold Cressler of Nucla, Lois Baker of Pagosa Springs, and Nelda Crowley of Walsh, Colo. Preceding him in death were his parents; and his wife, Flora (Dumbrick) Cressler who passed away February 2001.
