Mary E. Schofield, 83, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015, at Deaconess Hospital. She was born November 27, 1931, in Spencer County to the late Lloyd and Clara (Doyle) Therber.Lloyd and Clara (Doyle) Therber were adoptive parents to Mary Esther Schofield.

She was a 1949 graduate of Reitz High School and was a member of the Reitz girls.
Mary was a member of Crescent City Civitan and was a former member of Evansville North Civitan.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Schofield; son, Larry Schofield; birth mother, Canna Stokes; and brother, Jerry Therber.
She is survived by her daughters,; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Margaret Vickery.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at Alexander West Chapel, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel. Friends may visit Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
