"Page Pioneers" Billy Jess, Eddie and their parents, William Alonzo Jones & Margurette Elizabeth (Morris) Jones, helped to birth "America's Last Frontier" -- Page, Arizona.

The family was in Page for two years, during Eddie's Junior & Senior years. After school, age 16, Eddie worked the swing shift on Glen Canyon Dam as a high scaler and driller, as did classmate, Bill Wright '60.

Billy's older brother, Eddie Jones, Page High School Class of 1959, came back from Flagstaff, Arizona, where his parents had moved because of a union dispute, and graduated with his PHS class in Page, where he had attended his junior and senior years.

Billy was seven years younger than Eddie, was heavy all his life, and was 484 lbs. when he died of a massive heart attack while at work.

William Alonzo Jones was a Powder Man for Morris Knudsen on Glen Canyon Dam. His "Page Pioneer" wife was Marguerite Elizabeth (Morris) Jones (b. Wichita Falls, Wichita, TX - d. 2007, Houston, TX a week after Hurricane Rita (she fell during evacuation, breaking her neck, and dying of pneumonia in the hospital.) She was cremated and Eddie has her ashes.

Eddie met Judy in Flagstaff, where her parents lived (her dad worked for the Santa Fe RR); he worked on the Navajo Reservation on a pipeline. Eddie married Judith Ann "Judy" (Beeson) Jones (born Oct 8, 1944) on June 4, 1964. She was six months pregnant with Denean when they moved from Flagstaff in March or April 1965 to 3717 Lumberdale, Houston, TX. Eddie and Judy had two more children: Eddie & Sherry. They were divorced Jan 26, 1978, Lubbock, TX.

Eddie received Jesus as his Personal Savior on December 17, 1977, and was married at age 38 to his second wife, Melanie "Lynne" (Carder) Paxson (33), on August 25, 1978, Montgomery, Texas. They have been married 42 years. Her son, Kent Andrew Paxson, 19, was killed in an auto accident after they were married.
