R. R. Cotton Rites Monday
Services for Raymond R. Cotton, 69, of 314 Hawley Ave., who died Thursday at St. Joseph’s Hospital after a short illness, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Greenleaf Funeral Home, 503 W. Onondaga St., the Rev. William G. Sammons officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt.
A native of Farmington, Mr. Cotton was a 42-year resident of Syracuse. He was the proprietor of a rest home. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Salt Spring Lodge 520, F&AM, Scottish Rite bodies, Tigris Shrine, and Syracuse Court 35, Order of Amaranth.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Evelyn D. Cotton; two sons, Richard of DeMott, Ind. and Donald Cotton; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Healey of Delhi, Mrs. Phyllis Mattiaccio of Liverpool and Mrs. Jane Tarson; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Dan Baciah of North Syracuse, Mrs. Robert Allison of Kirkville and Mrs. Henry Inger; a stepson, Earl Becker; two sisters, Mrs. Ferdinand Saunders of South Onondaga and Mrs. Perry J. Nickerson; 36 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and tomorrow at the funeral home. Salt Springs Lodge 520, F&AM will conduct services at 8 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
