Son of Isaac E. Webdell and Margaret Askridge. Married Millie Byrum 14 AUG 1856 in Shelbina, Shelby County, Missouri.

A. L. WEBDELL DIED SATURDAY AT AGE OF 90
Aaron L. Webdell, one of Shelby best known citizens, died at his home 2 1/2 miles southwest of Lentner. He had been in poor health for a number of years. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Oak Ridge church, conducted by Rev. Skinner of Macon. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Webdell was born in Marion [sic] county in October, 1832, but for many years had lived in Shelby county. He was one of the organizers of the Oak Ridge church and a charter member, serving for many years as a deacon.
He is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Mildred Byrum, to whom he was married more than 66 years ago, seven sons, two daughters, and a number of grandchildren. One daughter preceded her father in death. The surviving children are: James Webdell of Washington, Stephen of Idaho, Harmon of Clarence, Emmett near Lentner, Lewis at home, Rev. Chas. W. Webdell of Memphis, Tenn., and Rev. Richard Webdell of St. Louis; Mrs. Lucy Lane near Clarence and Mrs. Laura White of Colorado.
For several years the wedding anniversary of the Webdells has been an important annual event attended by a great many friends and relatives besides immediate members of the family. Mrs. Webdell was ill at the time nf her husband's death and was said late Monday night to be in a critical condition.
