It should be noted that her obituary published on May 18, 1887 in the Fairfield Ledger (see below) indicated that she was buried in the "Richwoods" cemetery the day before. If so, there is no known headstone for her in the Upper Richwoods cemetery.

Her father, Aaron, was also married to Mary L. Baldwin Culbertson, who died in 1898 and is buried in Evergreen cemetery in Fairfield, Jefferson county, Iowa. Mary has her own inscription on a monument facing on that plot, and there is also an inscription for Amandy/Amanda but it now appears from cemetery records that she (Amandy/Amanda) was not actually buried in Evergreen cemetery.

The question then becomes, who was the mother? It could well be the Rebecca Culbertson who is known to be buried in Upper Richwoods cemetery and to whom this memorial is now linked. That said, then the purpose/relationship of the joint inscription in Evergreen cemetery with Mary L. Baldwin Culbertson is unclear.

This memorial is being "moved" from Evergreen cemetery to Upper Richwoods cemetery with the above caution.

The headstone/inscription photo used on this memorial is for Evergreen cemetery.
