Richard A. Bunce, 81 of Lecanto, Florida passed away in the loving care of his family on Friday, April 18, 2014. He was born on Friday, May 20, 1932 in New Marlborough, Massachusetts to John and Mary (Markham) Bunce. Richard was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and the owner of Bunce Construction Company. He moved to this area in 1984 from Canaan, Connecticut, was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Crystal River, Florida. Richard was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the V.F.W., was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed hunting.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Nancy (Cartinelli) Bunce of Lecanto, Florida; sons, Richard A. Bunce, Jr. and wife Caren of Canaan, Connecticut and John Bunce and companion Rebecca Hoysradt of Canaan, Connecticut; daughters, Deborah Farmer and husband Michael of Canaan, Connecticut and Joanne Moody and companion Scott Sylvia of Lecanto, Florida; brothers, James Bunce of Maine and Fred Bunce of Housatonic, Masachusetts; sisters, Evelyn Small of Sheffield, Massachusetts, Lela Marion of Alabama and Nellie Stupak of Canaan, Connecticut and grandchildren, Matthew Farmer of Ashley Falls, Massachusetts, Jenna Farmer of Canaan, Connecticut, Jesse Bunce of East Canaan, Connecticut, Ashton Bunce of Washington and Nicholas Moody of Lecanto, Florida.
