Z. T. ANDREWS DIES FOLLOWING ILLNESS OF TWO WEEKS
Zachary Taylor Andrews passed away Thursday at the home of his son, J. L. Andrews, after an illness of two weeks. He. was 83 years old, a Mason, member of the Antioch Baptist church and was well known throughout the county. He was always interested in political affairs of his county, especially when moral issues were involved, and was always found supporting the moral side of any issue.
Funeral services were held Friday at 10:30 at the Antioch Baptist church with Rev. B. B. McGinty of Riverview and Dr. V. M. Gardner of LaFayette officiating.
His wife preceded him in death nearly a year, having died last February. He is survived by one son, J. L. Andrews; two daughters, Mrs. Lewis Hinkle, Sr., and Mrs. Leila Abernathy, all of LaFayette; also 17 grandchildren and 8 greatgrandchildren.
Pallbearers were William Abernathy, Lewis, Willie, Walter, Andrew and Julian Hinkle. Interment was in Antioch cemetery, with J. E. Cutler in charge of funeral arrangements.
