Longtime area resident dies at 100 in Pontiac

STREATOR--Martha Goddard, 100, a resident of Evenglow Lodge, Pontiac, and formerly of Streator and Manville, died Sunday (Nov.23, 1986).

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Elias Funeral Home, Streator. Burial will be in Phillips Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until the service at the funeral home.

She was born Feb. 1, 1886, in Ironton, Wis., a daughter of John W. and Miriam Pickering Price. She married Frank Goddard on Nov.3, 1909, in Parma, Idaho. He died in 1956.

Surviving are two daughters, Helen Grant, Streator, and Dorothy Holland, Manville; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Three infant sons, three brothers and six sisters preceded her in death.

Mrs. Goddard lived in Idaho for 20 years. She was a member of the Pontiac Methodist Church and a former member of the Manville Methodist Church and Livingston County Home Extension.

Memorials may be made to Evenglow Lodge or a charity of the donor's choice.
