Charles R. "Buck" Arms, 74, of 405 S. Broadway St. died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, at Pekin Hospital in Pekin.

Born July 30, 1926, in Pekin to Elzie William and Leona W. Swanson Arms, he married Lois Imogene Thomas on Dec. 3, 1949, in Palmyra, Mo. She died July 11, 1981.

He also was preceded in death by two brothers.

Surviving are three sons, Robert (and Patti) and Rodney (and Ruth), both of Manito, and Roger of California; and one daughter, Renee Holstlaw of Manito.

He was a World War II Army Air Forces veteran.

He worked at American Distillery in Pekin until it closed. He later worked at Farmers Grain and Elevator Co. in Green Valley.

He last worked for several years as a carpenter and handyman in the Manito area.

He was a member of Pekin Moose Lodge 916 and Hanna City Sportsman Club.

Burial will be in Meadow Lawn Cemetery.
