MONROE - Morris Kimball Nielson, 78, passed away Dec. 24, 2005, in Richfield.

He was born Dec. 21, 1927, in Monroe to Henry Oluf and Arvena Doxford Nielson. He married Bonnie Lee Crane Nielson Dec. 15, 1947, in Monroe; later solemnized in the Manti LDS temple.

Morris is a member of the American Legion. He served his country during World War II in the Navy. After the war, he became a master meat cutter, worked and was the manager in meat departments in supermarkets throughout the intermountain west.

He was an enthusiast of western memorabilia and was accomplished at creating wagons to scale, many of which are in private collections throughout the U.S. and England. He was a selfless giver to anyone in need and was the kind of friend that everyone would want. He loved his family and they loved him.

Bonnie and Morris have a special love for each other. They have loved and supported each other in every aspect of their lives and will for time and eternity.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; children, Kim and Roxanna Nielson, Kenneth and Sheila Nielson, Ann and Carl Ishmael, daughter-in-law, Mary Nielson; 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Meribeth Garber.

He is preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, Lovell and Maudell Crane; sons, Kerry and Kirk Nielson; grandson, Ren Nielson; son-in-law, Mark E. Harris; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Orion (Dorra) Nielson, Marva (Aaron) Parsons, Deon (Dorothy) Nielson, Forrest (Var) Porter, Keith (Hope) Nielson, Vance (Gladys) Nielson, Mayo Nielson, McRay (Wanda) Nielson, and Fletcher Dee Nielson.

Funeral services will be today, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m., in the Monroe LDS stake center, 145 South Main, Monroe. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield, Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., and at the Monroe stake center today from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Interment will be in the Monroe City Cemetery with military rites by Monroe American Legion Post.
