Alice Crapo Snyder Conn was born May 28, 1909 on a ranch in the Coal Bed area, to George and Harriet (Crapo) Snyder. She attended school in Coal Bed and Dolores County as well as Moab UT. She married Homer Conn in Dolores CO in 1925. To this union five children were born: three daughters and two sons; Wilma Rae Bartles, Pat Buffington, Barbara Hancock, Willard (Bud) Conn and Alan Dee Conn. They lived in this area their entire lives where they were active in supporting the schools and community. Preceding Alice in death were her parents, her husband, one daughter, Wilma and one son, Alan. She is survived by children, Barbara Hancock of Dove Creek CO, Willard (Bud) of Golden CO, and Pat Buffington of Grand Junction CO. 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and nine Great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Effie Dunning of Albuquerque NM, and Lola Longenbaugh of Cortez CO.
Alice's family was the joy of her life.
