William Carr was born to James Edwin Carr and Pluma Chamberlin in Waverly Township, South Haven, Van Buren County, Michigan.

He married Mattie Bell Anderson 24 Dec 1901 in Lewis County, Washington. They were parents to Reva D. Carr born 1902 in Edmonds, Snohomish, WA. They lived in Lynden Town, Whatcom, Wshington in 1910 and by 1920 moved to Skagit County. In 1937 they were living in Anacortes at the time Williams father James passed.

William lost Mattie in 1949 and passed himself just shy of two years later at the age of 82.
