Donald D. Pickett, 81, of Hannibal, MO, Missouri, beloved son of Henry N. and Pansy N. Stewart Pickett, passed away at 6:15 AM Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Tom Day will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8;00 PM Tuesday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

Mr. Pickett was born November 5, 1932, in Hannibal, MO.

He was married to Mary Ann Morris on February 10, 1968 in Hannibal, MO. She survives.

Other survivors include three children, Kimberlee Pickett of Southbend, IN, Donald Pickett Jr. of Columbia, MO, Stephanie Pickett of Hannibal, MO,1 Brother, Herbert Pickett (Alberta) of Hannibal, MO,1 sister in law, Ruth Pickett, 8 Grandchildren, Megan, Kayla and Dalton Pickett of Hannibal, MO, Lauren Dinkeldein of Southbend, IN and Alexis Petersen of Southbend, IN and Parker, Emily and Dillon McKim and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister; Erma Avery and 4 brothers; Stewart Pickett, Jack Pickett, Bob Pickett and Edgar Pickett.

Mr. Pickett was a United States Army Veteran, having served during the Korean War. He worked his entire life in and around Hannibal, MO. Donald worked at the Hannibal Fire Department for 11 and a half years and with the Hannibal Police Department for 3 and a half years. He later worked at Mills Auto Parts and retired as a mechanic in 1996 from Tom Boland Ford. Donald loved being outdoors, working on the cars and lawn mowers and just tinkering in the garage. Mr. Pickett was a Christian by faith.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Pickett, Tom Pickett, Tyler Pickett, and Randy Epperson.

Papa's honorary pallbearers will be, Master Dillon McKim, Master Parker McKim and Miss Emily McKim.
