Wilmetta "Billie Mae" Wear, 80, of Tilton, passed away at her home at 4:02 p.m. Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014.
She was born Nov. 4, 1933 in Danville to William F. Cox and Elizabeth Ruth Crimmins. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert Cox and two sisters, Maggie Bott and Gladys Stanley.
She married William "Benny" Wear on Jan. 3, 1954 in Danville. He survives. Also surviving are one son, Skip (Suzi) Wear; three grandchildren, Sarah (Scott) Ellison, Cole (Jennifer) Wear and Emily (David) Ruwe; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She Mae graduated from Danville High School. She worked in bookkeeping at Carson Pharmacy, Palmer Bank Trust Department and retired from South View Middle School District 118 after 20 years.
