FRANKFORT - Thomas Ramey McDonald, 88, Richmond, VA, passed away Tues., Dec. 13, 2005, at Cedarfield in Richmond, VA.
He was born March 11, 1917, in Eminence. Mr. McDonald was a graduate of the University of Kentucky, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta. He was the former secretary/treasurer and Purchasing Agent of the Ralph E. Mills Company of Salem, VA, and Frankfort. He was a former director of the Bank of Salem, and a veteran having served in the US Navy during WWII.
Mr. McDonald is survived by his wife, Emily Paul McDonald of Richmond, VA; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas R. Jr. and Deborah McDonald of Roanoke, VA; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Joe McCutchen of Ellijay, GA, Kay and Gordon Watkins of Staunton, VA; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Sandra and Byrd Rawlings of Asheville, NC; one nephew, Sam V. Noe of Naples, FL; 12 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be handled by Bennett Funeral Home, West Broad, Richmond, VA, and Rogers Funeral Home in Frankfort. The family will receive friends at Rogers Funeral Home on Sat., Dec. 17, 2005 from 10 am until 11 am. Burial at the Frankfort Cemetery will follow an 11 am memorial service at Rogers Funeral Home, with the Rev. Doug Simpson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Bon Secours Hospice, 8580 Magellan Parkway, Richmond, VA 23227.
