Ruby Burgess Tallent, 88, of Escatawapa, MS, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014 in Escatawpa.
Mrs. Tallent was born on March 7, 1926 in Houlka, MS to the late, John A. and Bonnie Mae Burgess. She was a quilter and made some beautiful quilts; she loved crocheting and loved working in the yard. Her handy work shows all throughout her home. She loved her church and her church family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Ottis Tallent; son, Randy Tallent; sister, Lorell McNatt; and brother, John Burgess.
She is survived by her grandsons, Hunter, Tyler and Sam Tallent; sisters, Mary Lou Parks and Jean Ford; one brother, Ross (Nelle) Burgess; along with numerous friends, nieces and nephews that will sorely miss her.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa, MS. Funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Perry Smith Officiating. Interment will be held in Orange Grove Cemetery.
