James E. McQuiggan, 89, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on March 25, 2012.

He was born March 18, 1923 in Akron, Ohio to James and Emma McQuiggan. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, worked for Firestone Tire & Rubber as a researcher and attended Shoreline Community Church. He enjoyed visiting nursing homes and sharing Christ with others.

James was preceded in death by his first wife, Opal McQuiggan and grandson, Bobby Ferris. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Linda; daughters, Patricia (Pete) Nehrebecky, Jerry Sue (Randy) Richards, Kris McQuiggan, and Marsha (Josh) Watson; ten grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd., on Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m., where service will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Scott Campbell officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
