Edward Lane Fowler, an 88-year-old Bloomington native who moved from here in 1925 to become plant superintendent for the Nurre Glass Company's operation in Memphis, Tenn., died Thursday evening in a Memphis hospital.
He retired from Nurre after 34 years with the company. He was a member of the Lindenwood Christian Church in Memphis.
Fowler married Lola Dillman who preceded him in death in 1968. A daughter, Mrs. Hoshall (Kathryn) Davis of Memphis survives.
Funeral services were held in Memphis this morning and graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Clear Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Hittle presiding.
Friends may call at the Day Mortuary from 3-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
