"Mabel Harris, 87, passed away April 29, 2005 at Hospice Care Center. She was born in W Va. and had lived most of her life in the Akron area. Mabel was a homemaker for most of her life and had been a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Cliff Hockley Post. Preceded in death by husband, Oscar; daughters, Shirley Miga and Betty Jean Harris, as well as three sisters; she is survived by grandchildren... many great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby of S. Carolina; many nieces, nephews and many friends who's hearts she had touched. Funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday at Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd., Rev. Dale O. Smith officiating with burial at E. Liberty Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8p.m. Tuesday. "
