Ivan was the son of John Henry ASPER and Della Fay STAYTON. He married Margaret KEDIK in February 1946. Four sons and a daughter were born to the union. After his service in the U.S. Army during World War II, he worked at UniRoyal in Mishawaka, Indiana, and after his retirement from UniRoyal, he worked as a security guard at Pierre Moran Mall in Elkhart, Indiana. He enjoyed fishing and operating radio controlled airplanes.
