Melrose G. Adams, 91, formerly of Pennwyn, died November 28, 2013 at 10:25 p.m. at Manor Care, Sinking Spring, where she had been a guest since Sept. 4, 2007. She was the wife of Richard E. Adams, who died in June 1983. Born in Shillington, she was a daughter of the late Irvin and Sadie (Kohl) Keffer. She was a seamstress for the former Berkshire Knitting Mill and a machine operator for the former Berkshire Candy Factory for 16 years, retiring in 1971. Melrose was a member of Immanuel U.C.C., Shillington, a 1940 graduate of Shillington H.S. and a member of the Sr. Citizens group meeting at St. John's Parish House, Mohnton. She is survived by her son; 3 grandchildren; 1 brother; 2 sisters. She was predeceased by a daughter, Sylvia M. (Adams) Thatcher, and brothers Harold and Vernon Keffer. Funeral services from Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1 East Lancaster Ave., Shillington, on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Dale Davis, her pastor, will officiate. Interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Twp. Friends may call Thursday, from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
