Robert C. Colvin, 85, of the Warren Manor, formerly of 38 Fladery Lane, Pleasant Township, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2007 in the nursing facility. He was born in Clarendon, Pa. on April 23, 1922, the son of Alfred and Hazel Hoyt Colvin.

Robert was the owner and operator of Colvin's Waste Oil Service for twenty-five years, retiring in 1978. He enjoyed woodworking, ceramics, hunting, fishing, painting, photography, and his Santa workshop.

Survivors include two sons, Charles (Christine) Colvin, Nicholas, S.C., and David Colvin, Reidsville, N.C.; four daughters, Lois Trauffer, Warren, Becky Kibbey, Clarendon, Patty Humes, Garland, and Helen (Don) Chambers, Youngsville; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; a brother, John (Zelma "Betty") Colvin, Warren; and a half-brother, James (Marlene) Colvin, Columbiana, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his former wife Joyce Colvin; a brother Gail Colvin; a half-brother Dick Colvin; two sisters, Betty Shay and Eloise Long; and a grandson, Martin Patz.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Hubert-Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., Youngsville. The Rev. Don Wells, pastor of the Starbrick Community Church, will officiate.

Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park.

Friends will be received for two hours prior to the funeral service.
