Mr. Edward Lawrance Bell, age 90 of Jackson, TN, passed away on Wednesday morning at Maplewood Health Care in Jackson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 11 a.m., in the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, with Bro. Charles Whitten officiating. Interment will follow with military honors in Ridgecrest Cemetery.

He was born September 8, 1923 in Henderson County, TN. He was a member of Rocky Springs Primitive Baptist Church. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in WWII.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Vanarah Bell, who passed away in February; and two siblings, James and Edith.

He is survived by two children, Richard Bell (Michelle) of Brandon, MS and Alice Stewart of Kansas City; two brothers, Wesley Herman Bell (Mildred) and Jerry Bell (Linda); four sisters, Tennie McCaskill, Bobbie Ward, Peggy McCurdy and Betty King; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 from 5-7 p.m., in the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home.

Arrangements are under the direction of George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, (731) 427-5555.
