She had a son Lester Oscar Kapfenstein who was raised by her parents.
Hertha was married to Alexander Eisenbraun 18 Nov 1925 they had seven children; Marvin Wilbert, Alvina Adaline, Melvin Robert, Gerhardt Norman, Hugo Erick, Robert Frederick and Vernon James. Alex passed away in 1935.
Hertha continued to raise her children and on 28 March 1938 married John R Cayler and became a stepmother to his children two of whom were still living at home Anna and Betty. John passed away in 1941.
Hattie married for a third time on 22 April 1944 to Ernest Sheldon Munger a widower with three young children. Hattie and Ernest raised their combined families in Kadoka, South Dakota.
