Virgil W. Dolan, 89, a life time Rush County resident, passed away April 23, 2014 in Columbus.

He was born January 23, 1925 in Rush County to Glen & Mabel (Suter) Dolan. Virgil was a 1942 graduate of New Salem High School. He married Norma Lee Ruff on February 25, 1945 & she survives.

Virgil lived his entire life in Rush County, but spent nearly 40 winters in Stuart, Florida. He was a Rush County farmer his entire life and was a life time member of the Little Flatrock Christian Church. He was also a member of the Rushville Elk's Lodge #1307 and the New Salem Lion's Club. Virgil enjoyed playing golf, boating & deep sea fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Lee Dolan of Rush County, daughters, Paula & husband Ed Constant of Columbus and Nan McGinnis of West Chester, OH, grandchildren, Anne & husband Charlie Koontz, Brent Clifford & wife Tracey, Erin, Jay & Joshua McGinnis and great grandchildren, Carson & Blake Fields & Payton Koontz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Amanda Gatesy, a brother, Glen H. Dolan & sisters, Aline Winkler & June Griner.

Services will be held at 3 PM Friday, April 25 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Rev. Patrick Smith presiding.

Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from Noon until 3 PM on Friday. There will be an Elk's Memorial Service at 2:45 PM on Friday at the mortuary.

Burial will be in the East Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Little Flatrock Christian Church.
