Judith D. Saltzwedel, 68, of Marietta passed away Wednesday (Dec. 21, 2011) at home with her family at her side. She was born Friday, Aug. 27, 1943, in Clarksburg, W.Va. to the late Edward N. and Ada R Adams.

She graduated with Marietta High School class of 1961. She married Richard E. Saltzwedel on November 30, 1963.

She is survived by her husband and four children, Tracey (Glen) Bookman, Amy (Larrey) Christopher, Ginger (Brent) Bowersock and Scott (Melissa) Saltzwedel; seven grandchildren, Leanna and Allison Christopher, Adam Bookman, Nicholas, Nathan and Noah Bowersock, and Bryce Saltzwedel; one great-granddaughter Makayla Ramsay; and her loving sister, Trudy (Dave) Clegg, who has also been by her side, and many other family and friends.

Judy was a member of Little Muskingum Congregational Church. She was a member and past worthy matron of Masterton Chapter # 584 O.E.S. Her life's work was as a perfect homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike Street, Marietta, today, with an Eastern Star service being held at 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
