James S. Anderson was born on April 29, 1923 and passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2011.

James served in the United States Army 743rd Tank Battalion during WWII from February 11, 1943 to November 13, 1945. He was awarded the EAME Campaign Medal with 5 Bronze Stars and 1 Bronze Arrowhead, Good Conduct Medal, The Bronze Star, Distinguished Unit Badge, and the WWII Victory Medal. He was in Battles in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe. James attained the rank of TEC 4.

Services for James Anderson will be held on Saturday March 5th at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home of Fredericksburg. Private interment of his Cremains will be held in the Willow City Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society , or to the Charity of one's choice.
