N. Irene Bullins “God took our mom home today, you fought the good fight and kept the faith. Now Heaven is sweeter with you there.” N. Irene Bullins, age 81 of Crab Orchard, WV went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday June 12, 2013.

Born on December 2, 1931 at Helen WV, , she was the daughter of the late Lundy Blevins and Florence Blevins.

Mrs. Bullins worked as a Nanny and a caregiver for many years. She enjoyed painting, playing the piano, and her flowers. Mrs. Bullins was a member of the Teel Church of Jesus.

Special thanks go to her pastor and his wife Gary and Janet Blankenship, and to her loving church family.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur Vernon Gross and Billy A. Bullins, by her children, Calvin A. Gross and Diane F. Bullins Coleman, and by her siblings, Elmer, Archie, and Jack Blevins, and Edna Farmer.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her children; Barbara Dean and her husband James of Clayton, Delaware, Kenny Bullins and his wife Diane of Newark, Delaware, Thurman Bullins and his wife Debbie of Perry, Ohio, Bess Scott of Crab Orchard, Bobby Bullins and his wife Frances of Lexington, North Carolina, Rose Blankenship and her husband Roger of Crab Orchard, Susie Mays and her husband Mike of Coal City, West Virginia, and Tim Gross of Huntington, West Virginia. A sister, Beulah O’Neal Wood of Crab Orchard, WV, 28 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren also survive.

The family also extends special thanks to her best friends, Dena and Robert Blythe, to the Bowers Hospice House, Dr. Jenny GilBhrighde and Staff, Hospice House caregivers, Dr. Joseph Golden, Raleigh General Hospital, Mountain State Home Health, Raleigh Cancer Center, Dr. Khanna and Nancy, Pastor Ken Souder, and also to her special sister Beulah Wood and to her special niece Teresa Nowazcyk.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Saturday June 15, 2013 at 11AM with Pastor Gary Blankenship officiating. Private entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum at Prosperity on Monday. Friends may call from 6 -9 PM on Friday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to the Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV or to Hospice of Southern WV, P.O. Box 1472, Beckley, WV. 25802 in memory of Mrs. Bullins.
