GEORGE ALTHOUSE , George Althouse, 62, of Sabetha collapsed and died in Topeka Mondav aiffernoon Dee. 7. of an Atmarent heart attack. He and Mrs Althouse were In. Topeka on business. He spent his life in Sabetha, except when in college and serving in the army during war u- from i40 tu lasz , be was a rural mall carrier for the Sabetha post office. He then be I came Posastcir and served until retiring in 1974. Since 74 he has been an oveiMhe-road truck driver for the Bestwlck and Keim Truck Lines.
He had been a member of the S . sconooj ward for 5 years nn actuve me""r ci ve Vonjj'csa Uonal Church, the VJ'.W. Post No. j 7285 and the American Legion Poet No. 126, all of Sabetha. He is survived by his wife, Mary Fiiye Parr Althouse of the home; one son, David Althouse of Wetmore, Ks.; one daughter, Marilyn Stones, Sutton, Neb.; and four grandchildren. Funeral services wore held Wednesday at the caua'. K- u Congregational church and burial was in the Sabetha Cemetery.
