Warren D. Kern, Kutztown R. 1, husband of Mrs. Clardine Kern, died Monday in Allentown Hospital. He was 50. Kern was born in Coplay, a son of the late Henry and Mary (Levan) Kern. He was a plasterer and bricklayer. His affiliations included membership in the Kutztown, Topton, Lyons and Alburtis Fire Companies, in the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Kutztown, and the Kutztown Social club.

Surviving besides his wife are the following children: Cpl. Donald Kern and Pfc. John Kern, both with the Army in Korea; Mrs. Earl Leiby, Breinigsville R. 1; Betty, Joanne, Billy, Dennis and Audrey, at home. Also surviving are three brothers: George and Willard, Kutztown; and Verne, Lancaster; three sisters, Mrs. Paul Schadler, Mrs. Percy Frederick and Mrs. Austin Strohl, all of Kutztown; and a granddaughter, Brenda Leiby.
