She was called Alice. She never married. She lived with and kept house for her parents in Valley County, Nebraska until the parents died. Then she moved to Kimball, NE where she lived until her death in 1929. There she worked in a Milliner and Dressmaking Shop for awhile, then became the Kimball City Librarian.

Alice is buried by her parents in the Ord, Nebraska city cemetery, in the southwest corner of the cemetery.

Alice Armstrong, daughter of Wm. and Margaret Gray Armstrong was born December 12, 1878 in Snowden Twp., Allegheny county, Pennsylvania. In 1885 the family moved to Mira Valley, Nebr. where the family home continued until 1920 when the residence was moved to Ord.
There were seven sons and daughters: Robert Gray of Kansas City, Mo., Rev. Harry Patterson, Winnebago, Ill.; Mrs. Mary Reynold Hamilton, Toquerville, Utah; Anna Belle, who died in Pennsylvania in 1907; Wm. James, Kimball, Nebr.; Alice, whose death has just occurred May 27 at Kimball, Nebraska where she has made her home since 1904. At Kimball Alice has been in charge of the city library. The youngest of the family was Edwin Chambers, who died in 1923.
Alice united with the Wilson Memorial Presbyterian church, Mira Valley in her early youth and has always been an earnest and consistent christian.
Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon in Sowl's funeral parlors, Rev. D.C. Williamson in charge.
