Chris passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital. He had lived in Brighton all his life. He wrestled in school and loved to compete in wrestling. As an adult he started to train and coach wrestling. His three sons were also wrestlers and like their father, these boys all turned out to be pretty good wrestlers. Chris was always with his boys at their wrestling matches, coaching and training them. Survivors included: children Elaine (Danny) Foster, Christopher Jr. (Taylor) Martinez, Christina (Jimmy) Martinez, Jeramie Martinez and Steven (Victoria) Martinez, all of Brighton; brothers Andy Martinez of Hollywood, CA and Jimmy (Leona) Martinez of Brighton; two sisters Stella Martinez of Brighton and Delia (LeRoy) Garcia of Brighton; Godmother Mary Lucero; and 10 grandchildren, whom he loved very much. He was preceded by his parents and by brothers Frank and Joe Martinez. Rosary and Funeral Services held at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton.
