Dr Beech Fields Hollon, died Saturday at NHC Healthcare in Lewisburg. Services will be at 11 am, Tuesday, at Cornersville Funeral Home. Burial will be Wednesday in the Sandlin Cemetery, Gray Hawk, Ky. Visitation will be until the funeral hour Tuesday at the funeral home. He was a native of Williba, Ky, & the son of the late Elvin & Minnie Terrill Hollon. He was a scientist with the USDA, holding a PHD in dairy science. He retired from the University of Tennesee Dairy Research & Education Center. He served our country in the US Army during WW II serving in the European Theater. He was a member of the Cornersville Baptist Church where he was a Deacon & former music director. He also taught the Young Married Adult Sunday Class for 32 years.
He is survived by his wife, Nan Brumback Hollon, Cornersville; sons, Elvin Hollon, Liberty, Mo, & Dr Mitch Hollon, Charleston, S C; & three grandchildren.
