Officer Thomas E. Lehmier, DSN 7156, received his commission and entered the Police Academy on 12/02/1968. Officer Lehmier graduated on 03/20/1969 and went to the 3Rd District on 03/24/1969. Officer Lehmier remained in this assignment until he resigned from the Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department on 10/26/1976 to seek gainful employment in the private sector. Officer Lehmier served 7 years, 10 months, and 24 days of faithful and dedicated service to the Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Officer Lehmier was a veteran on the United States Army and served during the Vietnam conflict in Southeast Asia and served from August of 1965 to July of 1968 attaining the rank of Specialist 4Th Class.

Thomas E. Lehmier left to mourn his passing his son Michael Lehmier, and is also survived by sisters, Paulette Benz, Shirley Ganschaw, Anna Lehmier, and Donna Becker.
