Cathey Hamm Brodnax, age 64 of Mansfield, Ohio passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Ohio Health MedCentral Mansfield Hospital of a sudden illness.

Cathey was born March 22, 1950 in Farmers, Kentucky and was the daughter of Edmond Edward and Daisy Mae Giddings Hamm.

She was a member of Faith Chapel and loved going to church and spending time with her church family. Cathey enjoyed crocheting and reading and loved spending time with her spouse, her children and grandkids.

Cathey is survived by her husband of 24 years, William Brodnax, four children, Rodney Watson of Jasper, Texas, Vickie and Joe Westbrook of Newton, Texas, Melissa and Adam Watson of Camden, West Virginia and Laura and Toby Ratcliff of Jasper, Texas, one step-daughter, Gwen and Jason Oliver of Buna, Texas, eight grandchildren, Katye and Channing Swiful, Lance Watson, Julie and Keyth Pitre, Cheyanne Westbrook, BreeAnn Ratcliff, Gus Westbrook, Amber Watson and Alyxis Westbrook, two step-grandchildren, Dakota Oliver and Lucas Oliver, one great-grandchild on the way and two sisters. Along with her parents, Cathey was preceded in death by numerous siblings.

Calling hours will be from 10am til 12 noon Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Faith Chapel Church, 674 Hanna Road, Mansfield.

Funeral services will follow at 12 noon with Pastor Bruce Copley officiating.

Burial will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
