She served faithfully as a church secretary for 17 years at Fort Mill First Baptist Church and was very active in many church activities. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, James C. Brissie; a son, James C. Brissie Jr. and his wife, Libby, of Hendersonville; a granddaughter, Kelda Bowers and her husband, Jerry, of Asheville; a grandson, Jimmy Brissie and his wife, Rhonda, of Hendersonville; a great-granddaughter, Anna Sgibnev and her husband, Constantine; and great-grandson, Tanner Bowers; a brother, Steven Epps of Lancaster, S.C.; several sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Vernie Bayne, Beulah Bennett, Ethylin Broadnax, Florine Epps and two brothers, Andy and Billy Epps.
"Mama" had a very sweet gentle spirit and was dearly loved by all her family.
