Robert 'Bob' Aal of Bristol, passed away peacefully Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 at Buckingham Valley Nursing Center. He was 80.
He was born March 2, 1933 in Williston, N.D. to Earl and Lillian Aal. In 1955, he graduated from University of Montana with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.
In 1956 he married Cynthia Parkin. He served his country in the U.S. Army between 1956 and 1958 as a specialist fourth class. Bob had a long successful career with FMC Corporation which required traveling to many countries and living in multiple sates. He was known to say proudly he had one wife and one job.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; two daughters, Lyn (David) Aal-Magee of Stuart, Fla., and Karen (Mike) Osilka of Mechanicsville, Pa.; two grandchildren, Michael and Emma Rose Osilka; one sister, Donna (Ollie) Olson of Williston, N.D., and one niece and nephew. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Aal.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday Jan. 7, at FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Avenue (River Road), Yardley, where friends may call from 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown. FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home.
