Dr George F Knue, Industrial Surgeon, Dies

Dr George F Knue, 4055 Central Avenue, an industrial surgeon and general practitioner in Indianapolis 40 years, died last night at St Vincent's Hospital, He was 64 years old.
Dr Knue was chief surgeon for the Indianapolis Union Railway Company (Belt Railroad) and Republic Creosoting Company. He also maintained a general practice at 1217 Kentucky Avenue.
Dr Knue became seriously ill a week ago and was taken to St Vincent's Hospital Tuesday.
He had been associated with several manufacturing companies as chief surgeon, among them the Chevrolet Commercial Body Division of General Motors Corporation as well as the old Marmon Motor Car Company. He was surgeon for the contracting company that built the Curtiss-Wright Company plant in Indianapolis.
Born in Aurora, he had lived in Indianapolis since 1905. He was graduated in 1909 from Indiana University School of Medicine. He was a member of St Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
SURVIVORS are the widow, Mrs Genevieve Knue; a son, John Francis Knue; a daughter, Miss Mary Ruth Knue; two brothers, Louis H and Joseph Knue, all of Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs Thomas Hughes, Washington D.C. and a grandson.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
