Warren G. Hackett, age 89, was born April 3, 1925 in St. Anthony, ID and passed away peacefully on April 26, 2014 in Cedar Hills, UT.

He is survived by six children, 20 grandchildren, and 32 great- grandchildren. A resident of Whittier, CA for 59 years, he was employed by the Whittier Union High School District as a guidance counselor at Sierra High School from its opening day to its closing day. He then worked as a roving guidance counselor before retiring in 1995. After that, he substitute taught until age 80.

Warren was a WWII veteran serving from 1943 to 1946 aboard the USS Chester and saw action in the Pacific Theater. He will be remembered for his faith, integrity, and work ethic. His family loved him and he will be missed by all.

The funeral service will be held this Saturday, May 3rd at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel, 7906 Pickering Ave., Whittier, CA 90602. Interment will be at Rose Hills Mortuary Park, Whittier, CA.
