Donna Anderson, 84, passed away on April 27, 2014. She will be remembered as a woman who actively shared her love and the love of God with others.
Donna was born May 28, 1929 to Douglas and Lillian Wilson in Vancouver, Washington. She graduated from Ridgefield High School in Ridgefield, Washington in 1947.
In 1948, Donna married Gordon Anderson and shared 63 wonderful years together until his passing in 2012. They raised their children, Nancy and Doug on their Ridgefield farm near Ridgefield, Washington. Donna was a charter member of Pleasant View Church of the Nazarene, also in Ridgefield.
She was employed as a branch manager at First Independent Bank for 30 years until her retirement in 1992. Donna enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling with her husband, being active in her church and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Darlene Johns; her son; and her husband.
Donna is survived by her sister, Dorothy Johns (Orie) of Ridgefield, Washington; daughter, Nancy Horal-Martinez of Ridgefield, Washington; grandchildren, Kirk Horal (Angela) of Ocean Park, Washington, Megan Cooper (Greg) of Battle Ground, Washington, Cerise Whitten (Randy) of Beaverton, Oregon; and great-granddaughter, Brynlee Whitten.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Pleasant View Nazarene in Ridgefield, Washington.
