The funeral for Alayna Kay Monsen will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Randy Charlton officiating.
Ms. Monsen, 64, of Chatfield died Friday (Jan. 15, 2009) at her home.
Alayna Sandberg was born on April 27, 1945, in Granite Falls, Minn. She graduated from Granite Falls High School and went two years to RCC for accounting.
She married Kenneth Monsen in Granite Falls on April 3, 1965 and was later divorced.
She lived in Granite Falls for 19 years, Missouri for eight years,
She lived in Dover for 23 years, and in Chatfield for the last ten.
She worked at Riverside Electronics in Lewiston. She was a church pianist and a bookkeeper. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Chatfield. She enjoyed music, rubber stamping, scrapbooking and cooking.
Survivors include two sons, Jerome Monsen and Troy Monsen, both of Dover; and a brother, Sheldon (Beverly) Sandberg of Mora, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call for one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.
Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield is handling arrangements.
