Bruce Amos McDiffett was born May 30, 1886, at Beattie, Kansas, to William and Missouri McDiffett. He moved to the Welcome neighborhood in early childhood and resided there until he moved to the Emmanuel vicinity. He was united in marriage to Cora Johnson on April 14, 1938.

He is survived by his wife, Cora; one son, Jack; a step-daughter, Selma Brown; one grandchild, R. M. Brown; five sisters and three brothers.

Bruce McDiffett Suffers Fatal Heart Attack

Bruce McDiffett, age 66, suffered a fatal heart attack about 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon at his farm home southeast of Alta Vista. He had not previously been ill. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Emmanuel church, and burial was in Prairie View cemetery.

Bruce was born May 30, 1886, at Beattie, Kans., and lived most of his life in this community. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cora McDiffett; a son, Jack McDiffett of California, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Russell Brown of White City.
